How to produce a professional product video with AI

The strongest short product films begin with a faithful pack image, keep movement restrained and treat sound as its own production pass. This is a simple route from PNG to final edit.

A product video should make the pack feel real before it asks the viewer to notice the technology behind it. Start with the actual product image, keep the direction specific and give every tool a bounded job.

This workflow uses Grok Imagine for the opening still, Grok for the moving picture, ChatGPT for the creative direction and audio drafts, ElevenLabs for music and narration, and CapCut for the final edit. Check labels, approved wording and product claims at every stage. The tools can produce material quickly; they cannot confirm that a pack render or a claim is accurate.

Start with the PNG, then make a believable opening frame

Use a clean PNG of the product as the visual reference. A front-facing pack shot with a transparent background gives the image model the clearest starting point for the tube, jar, branding and label hierarchy.

Upload that PNG to Grok Imagine and ask it to generate the opening frame for the film. Describe the set around the product as well as the product itself: a bright marble bathroom, warm morning light, folded white towels and restrained flowers. The point is to create a credible still that the video model can use as its first frame, not to invent a different pack design.

  • Keep the reference literal Use the actual product PNG, rather than asking the model to recreate the branding from text.
  • Inspect before animating Check the logo, label, cap, product shape and any claims. Regenerate the still if any of them drift.
  • Leave room to move Choose an opening composition with space for a slow push-in or orbit. A tightly cropped image gives the video model little to work with.

Use ChatGPT to turn the idea into a shot brief

The video model needs more than a mood. Ask ChatGPT for a concise direction prompt that names the product, location, camera, pacing, lighting and the ending. Keep the camera work physically plausible and say what you do not want, especially floating packs, dramatic speed ramps and attention-grabbing effects that make a premium product look synthetic.

Create a 15-second luxury skincare commercial set in a bright modern marble bathroom during warm golden morning light. A premium white tube of CBD Energising Cream and a frosted glass jar of Total Repair Body Balm sit on a polished marble vanity beside folded white towels and elegant white flowers. The camera performs slow cinematic dolly and orbit movements with a shallow depth of field, soft bokeh and realistic reflections. Dust particles drift through the sunlight while flowers move subtly in a gentle breeze. Include macro close-ups of the packaging, realistic light gliding across the labels and premium product reflections. Transition to brief lifestyle moments showing a woman applying the cream to her legs in a calm morning routine before returning to the hero product shot. Colour grading is warm, creamy and understated with natural skin tones, subtle film grain and an editorial luxury aesthetic. No exaggerated motion, no flashy transitions, no floating products, no unrealistic effects. The overall mood is calm, restorative and sophisticated, ending with a clean hero shot and space for branding.

Treat this as a production brief. Adapt the product names, required pack shots and on-screen brand space before generating. If the output is intended for paid advertising, have the final copy, product claims and any lifestyle depiction approved by the person responsible for the brand.

Generate the visual master with no audio

Upload the approved Grok Imagine opening frame to Grok Video, paste the direction prompt and set the duration to 15 seconds. The important setting is no audio. Generate a silent visual master so music, voice-over and final mix stay under your control in the edit.

Download the finished video only after checking the whole clip. Look for label changes between shots, product deformation, impossible reflections, abrupt hand movement and cuts that do not leave enough time to see the hero product. Regenerate the visual master rather than trying to hide a broken product shot in the edit.

0115 seconds

Set a fixed short duration so the music and narration can be timed to it.

02No audio

Disable generated audio. The image track should arrive in the editor silent.

03Check the pack

Watch every shot for label, cap and product-shape drift.

04Download

Keep the approved silent visual master as the source for the edit.

Use ElevenLabs for the soundtrack

Ask ChatGPT for a short music brief matched to the cut, then use that prompt in ElevenLabs. The cue should support the imagery rather than compete with it. For a 15-second skincare film, avoid vocals, drums and obvious melodic hooks. Leave the last few seconds light enough for the product shot and any branding to land.

Compose a 15-second luxury wellness soundtrack for a premium skincare advertisement. Begin with a soft ambient piano motif accompanied by warm sustained string pads and subtle airy synth textures. Introduce delicate chime accents and a gentle, slow pulse at approximately 65 BPM to evoke calm, relaxation and self-care. The mood should feel elegant, comforting and spa-like, with a cinematic yet minimalist style inspired by high-end skincare brands. Avoid drums, vocals, dramatic builds or strong melodies. During the final four seconds, gradually reduce the instrumentation and gently fade into near silence, leaving only a soft ambient reverb tail. The overall sound should feel warm, organic, premium and emotionally soothing.

Generate a few versions, choose one with a gentle ending and download the selected audio file. Keep the prompt and the selected take with the project so the track can be reproduced or revised later.

Write the narration before choosing the voice

Use ChatGPT to create a voice-over from the approved product facts, audience and required call to action. Tell it the narration must fit the available seconds and avoid unapproved medical, performance or wellness claims. A 15-second film rarely needs more than one or two calm, well-spaced lines.

In ElevenLabs, choose a voice that suits the brand: clear, unhurried and credible, rather than theatrical or overly breathy. Generate the narration, listen for pacing and export the approved audio. Keep the spoken message intelligible when the music sits underneath it; if it is not, simplify the copy before trying to fix it with volume changes.

Bring the silent master, music and voice into CapCut

Install CapCut, create a new project and import the downloaded silent video first. Add the ElevenLabs music and voice-over as separate tracks. Keeping them separate makes it easy to lower the music beneath the narration, trim the ending and replace a line without touching the visual master.

  • Build from the picture Place the 15-second silent video on the main track and do not add sound to it.
  • Set the voice first Align the narration to the product and lifestyle moments, then reduce the music so every word remains clear.
  • Let the ending breathe Fade the music during the final four seconds and preserve a clean hero product shot with space for branding.
  • Export and review Watch the exported file on a phone as well as a larger screen. Check the label, framing, narration, music level and final fade.

Once the export is approved, publish it in a standard HTML5 player. The example below is the finished edit, with its audio enabled so visitors can experience the film as delivered.
